About the prize

The Artevistas Art Award 2025 is an international art prize presented by Artevistas Gallery, located in the heart of Barcelona. This award seeks to discover and support talented artists, offering them a unique opportunity to exhibit their work and gain international recognition within the contemporary art world.  

Since its founding in 2008, Artevistas Gallery has proudly represented both emerging national and international artists, including key figures in the street art scene. The gallery is celebrated for its dynamic exhibitions and strong presence in the global art market.  

The winner of the Artevistas Art Award 2025 will receive a one-month solo exhibition at Artevistas Born, our new gallery space in Barcelona’s vibrant centre. Situated near cultural landmarks such as the Picasso Museum, Moco Museum, and MEAM (European Museum of Modern Art), this prime location ensures unparalleled visibility and exposure for the selected artist.  

ELIGIBILITY: WHO CAN APPLY?
  • The Artevistas Art Award 2025 is open to artists of any nationality aged 18 and above.
  • Both emerging and established artists working in the following media: painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media, textiles, digital art, glasswork, wood, ceramics and printmaking (including lithographs and limited editions).
  • All submitted works must be original creations by the applicant. As well, participants undertake that the artworks they submit do not violate regulatory provisions or the rights of third parties.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Submission requirements

Applications must include:

  • A completed application form.
  • An artist statement (max. 150 words).
  • High-resolution image of one artwork (min 1200 x 630 pixels) which will be published on the Artevistas Art Award website with its short description, including artist name, title, dimensions, medium, and year of creation. Preferably in square format, but if not possible, we will adapt to the format you decide to submit.
  • Please indicate the price of your artwork to give us an approximate idea of your pricing. This information will not be published.
  • A link to your website, Instagram, or digital portfolio—whichever is most convenient for providing a general idea of your work.

Entry fee

  • A 48€ entry fee is required for submission (non-refundable).
  • Payment options: Credit card, Bank card, AMEX and PayPal.

Submission process

  • All applications and payments must be completed only via the gallery’s website.
  • No changes or additional materials will be accepted after submission.
  • Keep in mind that the artworks should not be sent during the winner’s election. 
  • After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email within 72 hours of registration.
    If you do not receive it, please contact us at info@artevistasaward.com. The confirmation email may end up in your Junk/Spam folder.

The Jury

The winner will be selected by a panel of experts from the Artevistas Gallery team. This jury will evaluate submissions based on creativity, technical skill, and alignment with the gallery vision.

Timeline

  • Application deadline: July 31th, 2025
  • Winner announcement: August 30th, 2025
  • The winner will be announced on our social media @artevistasartaward @artevistasgallery, on the website and by email.
  • Solo exhibition: The exhibition will take place after the winner’s announcement, depending on the availability of the artist and the gallery.
  • We reserve the right to make changes to the timeline if necessary. Any modifications will be communicated promptly to all participants.

Theme of the winner’s solo show

The theme for the Artevistas Art Award 2025 solo exhibition is “OPEN”, inviting the selected artist to explore boundless creativity and push the limits of artistic expression. This offers a platform to showcase innovative works that resonate in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

  • The solo exhibition will be held in our temporary exhibition space at Artevistas Gallery Born.
  • Artworks must be ready for display.
  • Artists are responsible for shipping, delivery, and return of their artworks, including associated costs. However, in certain cases, the gallery may assist with logistics or provide partial support to facilitate the process. Specific arrangements will be discussed with the selected artist as needed.

Exhibition attendance

  • Attendance at the exhibition’s opening ceremony is optional for international artists.
  • However, the gallery encourages participation and is pleased to offer accommodation support to facilitate their stay. Selected artists will have the opportunity to stay in gallery-arranged accommodation for three nights to coincide with the exhibition setup and vernissage.

Gallery support

  • The gallery will oversee exhibition preparation, installation, vernissage and promotion including outreach to our extensive client database of over 10.000 collectors and art enthusiasts.

Sale of the artworks

  • All exhibited artworks must be available for sale throughout the one-month exhibition period. To maximize exposure and sales opportunities, they will also remain available for purchase through the physical gallery and its website for an additional two months after the exhibition ends. The gallery will charge a commission based on terms mutually agreed upon with the artist.

Artevistas Gallery reserves the right to publish images of selected works on its websites and other promotional channels to promote both the competition and the artworks.
